Objectives

Herts Young Leaders is a charity that creates relief for disadvantaged communities within Hertfordshire. This includes all children and young people who may be severely impacted by social, economic and environmental factors. We aim to assist young children and their families to ensure that the youth of today have a bright and powerful future.

The type of services that we will offer to the community as it stands will be a  COVID - 19 education relief program. This provides 30-minute sessions of Maths and English a week for students requiring extra support. We aim to build a bridge between the school and the families which may lack connection and understanding in some areas. After the first initial eight weeks, we intend to launch a Saturday programme for young children.

The way in which we intend to this is that; We will provide a Saturday programme focusing on the positive enforcement surrounding the factors of education, crafts, life skills, activities that benefit one's interpersonal skills and much more. We want to provide support to the young minds of Hertfordshire, give them a platform they can confidently use to elevate themselves into becoming independent, strong-minded individuals.

Our purpose is to give assistance and support to those in disadvantaged situations; despite their ethnicity, financial position, religion, etc. We do not discriminate, we intend to impact the young minds of Hertfordshire with the knowledge and foundations needed to become a bright individual.

Activities

  • Encourage each individual to strive for their best and nothing less.
  • Encourage each individual to think for themselves and have their own mind and not have it programmed by society or school.
  • Build self-esteem in all aspects of life, working collaboratively with families and schools of these individuals to identify problem areas.
  • Encourage education and development through unique experiences and innovative methods that differ from what is used in school.
  • Tackle any ongoing mental health issues that may affect the progression these young people can make in other areas of their life.
  • Help these individuals to dream big about what they can achieve and the careers and lives they can go on to lead.
