Herefordshire Mind is affiliated to National Mind and has been providing services throughout the county for more than 30 years. We are local and self-governing and regularly involve clients in our work to ensure their experiences inform our practice and direction.
At Herefordshire Mind we want a better life for people with experience of mental ill-health. We believe that no one in Herefordshire should have to face this problem alone.
At the heart of all we do is an approach based on recovery, well being, inclusion and the removal of stigma. With this in mind we provide empowering person-centred advice, support, and services.
Residential Nursing Support Service provides a comfortable and warm environment for 11 residents. It is situated in a pleasant and scenic position on the outskirts of Hereford.
The service is CQC registered and provides support and structured rehabilitation for adults over the age of 18 with a mental health illness.
Our last CQC (unannounced) inspection report in October 2012 found that all the specified standards were met to a high standard. The report highlights the positive impact The Shires can have for residents requiring our support.
Transitional Housing. Our new service is aimed at simplifying access to housing, widening housing options in Hereford and improving move on and recovery for individuals with mental health issues.
Recovery & Well being is a mental health well being service (funded by a Service Level Agreement from Herefordshire Council) which:
