Hereford Community Land Trust's purpose is to build truly affordable, sustainable housing for the community led by the community. There are exciting prospects for designers and those interested in the environment and in living with minimal waste and planetary degradation. It helps those who would otherwise find difficulty in obtaining housing, provides homes in a healthy environment and is family orientated.
Obtains land in which developers would find it difficult to turn in a large profit to shareholders. Has a membership that has community values at its centre and where groups of people come together, to design, to build and to develop the concept themselves. Provides hope where there is none and purpose for the future.
