Objectives

HERA empowers women survivors of modern slavery & exploitation to achieve a better life and to become financially independent. Empowerment of women survivors is through education, capacity building and mentorship. HERA’s impact is both immediate, through confidence developed in the women to take the next step to achieve their goals, and long term through the sustained confidence and support HERA provides alumni have gone on to set up social enterprises, gained employment and taken further studies.

Activities

HERA provides business education through training, that annually impacts up to 30 new women. Monthly business workshops are available to current and past HERA students; HERA currently has over 300 alumni. These workshops and additional professional development opportunities coupled with mentoring, helps to increase women survivors’ capacity building abilities, confidence and empowers then to continue to move forward in their lives and achieve their goals.
