Objectives

The relief of financial hardship by the provision of free legal advice and assistance to persons who, through lack of means, would otherwise be unable to obtain such advice.

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society.

To promote respect for human rights among individuals and organisations to eliminate infringements of human rights.

Activities

The CIC has been set up to provide free legal advice, assistance and wider services (see causes) in north London and Hertfordshire initially. In particular, the CIC operates a phone support service, with periodic in-person advisory sessions for individuals and groups. Advisory topics can range from nutrition to family liaison for those visiting relatives in prison.
