Objectives

Having successfully merged in July 2020, HeartSWell Charity and HeartSWell Lodge CIC have now become Hearts Together and are set to do great things.

Our aims and objectives over the next few years are:

To expand the accommodation at Derriford by undertaking a £4.5M build project.
To provide additional support to those most in need by growing our volunteer service, enabling door to door support and wrap-around care for our guests and their loved ones.
To deliver in-house counselling/talking therapies for our guests
To build long-term, meaningful relationships with our supporters and beneficiaries
To provide grant funding to communities and local hospitals as part of our Better health, brighter futures program
To grow and diversify our income

Activities

The charity’s focus is on developing their services to support patients, carers and relatives who stay at the Hearts Together hotel, through the following activities:

Providing accommodation near Derriford Hospital for patients undergoing treatment, for their families, friends and carers as well as for healthcare practitioners and those in training
Providing counselling and additional support services for guests of our Hospital Hotel
Providing grant funding for community projects such as defibrillator schemes and to hospitals for pilot programs and pioneering equipment to improve health and awareness
