Objectives

Heart of Torbay is an impartial mental health organisation supporting residents and organisations with coaching, mentoring, training, well-being coordination services and designing effective creative business solutions.

Activities

We offer Pure Heart Coaching which underpins all our services. It’s a completely non-directive and non-judgmental coaching program designed to get to the heart of challenges and issues very quickly and efficiently.

Following recognition of a large gap and lack of services and support aimed at hoarding and cluttering in the home environment, a year ago we designed a ‘Tidy Home Tidy Mind’ program and support services. This service has provided exceptional and much needed professional support in helping to lose the judgement and stigma around hoarding and we are now a community safety partner with Devon Somerset Fire & Rescue from which we regularly receive referrals. Referrals are also received directly, through social prescribers, support workers, social workers, NHS hospital discharge services, Age UK and many other private and government support organisations.

Following 7 years of lived experience of working at grass roots and living in theTorbay community alongside networking, researching, observing, questioning and evidencing, Heart of Torbay is on the cusp of creating a ground breaking commercial/community pilot scheme where people can ‘Come Home’. It’s a wonderful concept and borne out of a want for a fairer and more collaborative space for individuals, businesses and organisations to share ideas, collaboration, funding and resourcing. That up until now has been severely lacking in Torbay.

if you have a passion for community, fairness, inclusion, nature, empowerment and opportunity for all then we’d love to hear from you. We can’t do this in our own!
