We are a small East Midlands based charity helping people live well with hearing loss. We run fun activities for deaf children and their families, and drop-in hearing aid clinics for older people in their local community.
- Every month we run 8 busy Hear2Help hearing aid clinics across Nottinghamshire, each one takes place in a local community venue and lasts about 2 hours. They provide local drop-in sessions for older people to receive support to keep wearing their hearing aids so they can hear and stay connected with their home, work and social life.
- We also run half-day events each half term for deaf children and teens. These range from indoor climbing to chocolate making to adventure golf and we are hoping to run a residential in 2025. The events are a fantastic way for deaf young people to meet each other as many are in mainstream schools and have no contact with other deaf kids. Families are often included and this provides an opportunity for them to chat with other parents and feel relaxed knowing that everyone understands.
We are a team made up of experienced professionals who have worked with deaf children and adults for many years, hearing aid users and parents of deaf children.
We aim to bring deaf kids together to build confidence, self esteem & above all have fun!
