Objectives

Enabling local people to have a voice in the development, delivery and equality of access to local social care health and services and facilities.

Healthwatch Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is part of a national network in England that acts as the watchdog for health and social care locally. We are a statutory body that has the responsibility of holding health and social care providers to account and ensuring that the experience of patients and users of services are heard.

Activities

We promote high standards by health and social care providers;

We provide training and the development of skills for volunteers and the wider community in understanding, scrutinising, reviewing and monitoring local health and care services and facilities.

We have volunteers who support our work in a number of ways to engage people from all communities in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire and capture the experience of individuals and communities in accessing and using health and social care services.
