Local

Objectives

Our remit covers ALL residents of Gateshead and those who use any health or social care services in Gateshead. We exist in order to give consumers/service users a voice in shaping local health and social care services. We talk to members of the public to gather their views and experiences on all health and social care issues. We use this as evidence to then produce reports, evidence to CQC, feed into commissioners, report to the health and wellbeing board and overview and scrutiny committees to influence positive lasting change for users of health and social care services.

Activities

Attend meetings. Gather views. Report findings. Collect evidence. Organise outreach events. Hold focus groups and facilitated sessions. Work in partnership with other organisations. Talk to members of the public.
