Objectives

Healthwatch Central West London is an independent charity and membership organisation working to ensure your voice counts when it comes to shaping and improving local health and care services.

We work with and support people and organisations in the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

We also provide information to help people access and make choices about their health and well-being services.

Activities

We keep you up to date, listen to your views and support you to improve our health and care services. Healthwatch Central West London is committed to improving services for all.  Established under the Health and Social Care Act 2012, the purpose of Healthwatch is to:

  • Obtain the views of the community about their needs for and experience of local health and social care services
  • Make those views known to those involved in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of health and social care services.
  • Promote and support the involvement of a diverse range of people in the design and delivery of services
  • Make reports and recommendations about how those services could or should be improved.
  • Provide information to the public about accessing health and social care services and choice in relation to aspects of those services
  • Represent the views of the community, patients and service users on the Health and Well-being Board
  • Make those views known to HealthWatch England (as national champion)
  • Make recommendations to the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

We work with local health and care services. Every year, we prioritise areas for development based on local need and engagement with the community, our membership and our stakeholders.
