To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 18 living in London by providing advice and assistance and organising programmes of educational and other activities as a means of:
(a) advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals; and
(b) advancing education.
Summary:
Health Pioneers is a community organisation established in London. Our mission is to empower young people with the skills to shape the health and welfare of their communities. Our projects range from health education and mentoring, to community engagement and inequalities research.
In order to achieve our objectives we have a range of programmes:
1. Pathways to Health - This programme aims to provide young people with health and leadership knowledge. This knowledge can then be used to develop a community health project that will be implemented and supported by local doctors.
2. Mentorship to Health - Our unique mentorship programme matches students studying in London with senior healthcare students and healthcare professionals to facilitate their application to study for a career in healthcare in the UK.
