Headway South Staffordshire is a charitable company limited by guarantee which is registered with Companies House and the Charity Commission and is affiliated to Headway – the brain injury association (the national organization).
The organisation has grown over the years and now has a committed team of experienced staff and volunteers. It provides services and information and advice about brain injuries and their consequences, both to those directly affected, and by raising local awareness about brain injury.
The popular members’ day service offers a variety of developmental activities to support the rehabilitation of people with an acquired brain injury, which are complemented by an outreach service which supports brain injured people to live in their own homes.
We offer a variety of rehabilitation activities and therapies. We look at each individual to assess their needs and identify activities to enhance their attendance at our day service. We plan many of our activities a year ahead, with an annual activity budget to support the programme. The following are just a snapshot of the activities we run:
