Objectives

Headway Somerset provides support, information and rehabilitation for people who have an acquired brain injury which might be as a result of an accident, fall, assault, brain tumour, meningitis, anoxic or hypoxic injury. We have a Hospital Liaison Service to support people at an early stage following their ABI as well as a range of community based rehabilitation centres in Taunton,Yeovil, Bridgwater and Henton (Wells) as well as one-to-one outreach and a Social Club.

Activities

The effects of brain injury vary and there is no one standard approach to support and rehabilitation. Headway Somerset offers a flexible, expert service, delivering support and rehab designed individually with and for each client.  We also provide information and support to families and carers as well as general awareness raising and education about acquired brain injury and its impact.
