Headway Rotherham is part of the Headway association but are our own charity. Our objectives are: - To promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury; - To provide information, support and services to people with brain injury, their families and carers and relevant professionals; - To promote a coordinated multi-disciplinary approach to brain injury screening, acute care, assessments, rehabilitation and return to the community; - To increase public awareness and understanding of brain injury; - To participate in activities which will reduce the incidence of acquired brain injury.
We engage in the community by using various local groups and organisations to assist us with events. We also have good links and a good reputation with various professionals in local NHS settings. We make use of our social media channels to promote what Headway Rotherham do. In addition, we have a good relationship with Voluntary Action Rotherham whom we use for updates on facilities and events too.
