Objectives

Headway Milton Keynes supports adults with an acquired brain injury and their families, providing crucial rehabilitation opportunities and the chance to socialise, develop communication skills and peer support. Our mission is to improve the lives of brain injury survivors by providing services which promote independence and well-being, through enabling our clients to establish and achieve their personal aims and objectives.

Activities

We provide a holistic, client-centred approach to brain injury survivors through physical, social and emotional re-learning and rehabilitation services. We offer a range of sessions including:

  • Development of cognitive and communication skills
  • Developing skills for daily living such as budgeting and nutrition
  • Preparation for returning to education/work
  • Practical and social sessions such as exercise, art and music
  • Support with emotional well-being

These in turn increase confidence and encourage socialisation and inclusion within the local community, thus preventing isolation.
