We are starting a new contemporary arts centre called Arts Shed East located in the Harwich Rail Yard on the themes of Harwich - namely sea, nature, heritage and migration. The new initiative aims to create an attraction which will cement Harwich as a cultural destination.
The arts centre will serve three objectives: provide art making facilities for the local community; provide residency opportunities for art students and professional artists; hold contemporary art exhibitions which will attract visitors to Harwich.
