Objectives

We work with Women and Women’s organisations to develop and deliver services that local women need. We provide information, support and services to all women by:

Promoting equality of opportunity and challenging discrimination, disadvantage, restricted opportunity and poverty;
Encouraging women to take control of their own lives and their own organisations;
Facilitating activities that are women centred and that promote empowerment for and with women.

Activities

The Forum recognises the persistent barriers and challenges, which affect and potentially may blight the lives of many women living and/or working in Haringey.
We work co-operatively with women and women’s organisations in the London Borough of Haringey, to promote real opportunities particularly for those who face ongoing discrimination or disadvantage.
We support women and organisations representing women identify key issues e.g. health, social welfare, educational and economic opportunities, barriers to equal opportunity and respond effectively to key needs.
We are committed to working co-operatively with other relevant agencies to promote the infrastructure of the voluntary sector to enable organisations to meet the needs of women.
