Objectives

  • The Handy Trust goes into local schools and provides PSHE information to the pupils. 
  • Helps children transition from junior to senor school.
  • Reaches out to children who may need support for any reason.
  • Runs a local jobs page for those seeking work or advertising local jobs. 
  • It provides young adults with somewhere to go and something to do. 
  • It also provides holiday clubs during the school holidays for younger children. 

 

 

Activities

The team runs weekly drop ins during  senior schools lunch breaks, meaning the team become familiar, and trusted adults independent of the law, schools and parents.

They are contactable in person(at school or youth club), via messaging or on the phone, either by young people, or parents or schools. They also provide Targetted Youth Support Sessions for those that 1 to 1 session are recommended.
