The organisation was set up to promote the performing arts for the benefit of the public at an annual arts festival in Hampstead. It does this by putting on innovative cultural events in intimate and historic venues. It brings world-class artists to audiences locally and from further afield, encourages new talent, fosters a community spirit, helps support the local hospice, and inspires an enthusiastic following.
The festival engages audiences with imaginative programmes of classical music, literary conversations, jazz and film of exceptional quality, featuring illustrious names and award- winning newcomers. It has put on pre-concert talks, master-classes and children's concerts, and it works closely with one of Hampstead's most beautiful churches to co-host fund-raising concerts.
