Objectives

Hamilton Lodge is a special residential through school for learners from 5 to 19 years of age with significant expertise in meeting an identified primary need of Deafness (Mild, Moderate, Severe or Profound). In addition to this we have provision and can successfully support a range of comorbidities including additional Speech, Language, Communication, Social, Emotional and Interaction needs. All children will have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) that will inform the provision and curriculum we offer a child

Activities

We design our support around the needs of the child ensuring the provision we put in place matches that specified in the EHC plan. The learners curriculum is designed and modified to ensure we are working to achieve the EHCP specified outcomes. • KS 2, 3, and 4 academic reports 3 times a year • KS 5 academic reports 2 times a year • Annual review reports 1 a year • Therapy reports 1 a year in line with Annual reviews • Residential Reports in line with the academic reporting cycle • Parent/Carer consultation meetings • Tutor support in school • Key worker support in the residential houses • Systems in place to ensure open communication with parents and carers
