Objectives

Hamer Amateur Boxing Club and Fitness Centre uses boxing as a tool to impact on our key priorities by providing an holistic approach to health and wellbeing, supporting families and providing an outlet for people of all ages to develop and participate in the local community.

The organisation contributes to the health and wellbeing by supporting families and vulnerable young people and adults from marginalised and hard to reach communities.

Activities

We are a well-established amateur boxing club with a good reputation within the  community of Rochdale. We cater for all people aged from 5 and above whether you want to simply keep fit or want to take up boxing on a more serious level. Our aim is to promote health and fitness in a fun way.

We work with youngsters, youths and adults from all sections of the community and all ethnic backgrounds. The sport of boxing will teach you self-discipline, self-defence, tolerance, team work, fitness and self-control in a safe and controlled environment.

We also offer the opportunity for you to compete as an amateur boxer at events across the country at no further cost. All equipment is provided although you are free to use your own equipment if you prefer. We also work with various youth groups across the borough offering "taster sessions" so if you are part of a group who may want to come down for a group session and use the facilities or want a level 2 amateur boxing coach of England to work with you at your place please contact us to arrange a date.

All our coaches are registered with the A.B.A (amateur boxing association) and are fully DBS checked.
