We work to promote and preserve our local heritage and educate about our valued built and natural environment.
Local consultations show that Halstead people care deeply about our heritage while national studies show that our local heritage and green spaces have become more important than ever since the arrival of COVID-19.
Man displays at local events, hold talks, take part in the organisation of Heritage Open Day events, take part in projects with other groups (e.g. a Courtauld Institute of Art outreach programme, a school project and a market towns project), contribute to the planning process, nominate structures and natural features to lists (eg Local Heritage List, Ancient Tree Inventory), network with related groups to achieve joint aims.
