The Trustees hold income to apply to the provision of the Land known as the Halesworth Millennium Green for the benefit of the inhabitants and to be used forebears an area for informal recreation plath or other leisure-time occupations a meeting area or place for community events and for other lawful purpose for the general benefit of the community.
The Green was established to contribute to the life of the community by being accessible to local and visitors and to make a positive contribution to the local environment. The Trustees balance the needs of people with wildlife by hands-on management and by long-term planning. The management support group of volunteers organise work parties and all practical maintenance matters. The Conservation Strategy group monitor and advise on matters affecting wildlife. Our partner, Sustrans have built and maintain the National Cycle Path No. 1 which runs through the Green.
