HACRO believes in second chances. HACRO works to offer support for offenders, potential offenders, and their families, to manage positive change in their lives. We engage with influential partners in the community of Hertfordshire and work to establish a range of educational and training initiatives with a focus on gaps in provision.
HACRO is a charity that helps people who have been on the wrong side of the law to turn their lives around. We do this by delivering family support and ex-offender employment programmes – both proven to reduce re-offending. HACRO:
- manages the Visitors Centre at HMP The Mount,
- provides work readiness training to offenders as part of their sentence in the community,
- provides mentoring support for persistent and prolific offenders,
- provides parenting support for men against whom there have been allegations of domestic abuse and
- Provides small grants for ex-offenders to help them in their rehabilitation.
