Hackney Caribbean Elderly Organisation (HCEO) is a service provider for elderly residents in Hackney of mainly Caribbean extraction. Our expertise is in the Health, Well-being and Social Care areas of service provision where we have provided a variety of social, cultural and health support as well as advocacy for the past twenty six years. We have supplied a luncheon service for Caribbean and other elders via a Hackney Council contract for the past eighteen years. In addition we provide an Advocacy Service, a Mental Wellbeing service and a service for individuals who need support and advice about monetary issues.
We have extensive knowledge of the requirements of the elderly community in Hackney and the Caribbean population in particular.
HCEO aims to raise the standard of life of some of the borough’s most ‘hard to reach’ Senior Citizens and does so in a professional manner, providing an empowering and safe environment. It is through access to HCEO services that many of our elder service users are able to address challenges in their lives and continue living independently.
HCEO is currently experiencing higher demand for its current services and is striving to respond to that demand. Our request for a Fundraiser is in line with HCEOs need for current services to expand and continue; we also aim to deliver new services in line with the need of our client group.
