Here at Gympanzees we want to make sure children and young people with disabilities are given equal opportunities to play and exercise to aid their physical and mental development, ensuring that they can meet their potential.
Alongside our current work, we continue to develop our plans to build the UK’s first dedicated play, exercise and social inclusion destination for children and young people with disabilities and their families.
Volunteering with us can provide an amazing opportunity.
Get involved with our projects and see the impact of our work first-hand for children and young people with disabilities, as well as their families.
We aim to provide a leisure facility which is fully accessible and tailored for children and young people (0-25 yrs old) with disabilities. It will be open 7 days per week, all through the year. The facility will be run in several sessions each day – each with a different focus so each child or young person will find slots which work for them. The facility will have several different areas which will be accessible for those with the most severe physical difficulties through to those who are very active with emotional or behavioural difficulties.
Until the centre is open we will continue to support our families with our Pop Up seesions and our lending library where they can loan specialist play and exercise equipment.
