Objectives

The Guild's purpose is to provide lifelong learning opportunities through adult community education and social activities for the welfare of the whole community.

Based in East Cheshire, we embrace lifelong learning and promote the advancement of education within the heart of our community by delivering high-quality adult education courses and social activities.

We provide friendly and enjoyable learning opportunities with the aim of improving the wellbeing of the community, encouraging active citizenship and reducing social isolation.

Activities

The Guild receives over 5,000 enrolments to more than 400 courses each academic year. Striving to enhance social inclusion and personal development, we are now operating at 14 different locations within East Cheshire including Macclesfield, Stockport and Crewe.

With 16 active clubs, groups and societies and the engagement of around 500 participants, we continue our efforts in building strong and inclusive communities.
