Guide Dogs supports children, young people and adults who are blind and partially sighted to fulfil their potential and live the life they want to, need to and deserve to. Along with our iconic guide dog service, My Guide sighted guide service, Children and Young People's service and Campaigns enable people with sight loss to have the same mobility, access and rights as their sighted counterparts.
The Guide Dog service enables people to get out and about in their local community independently and confidently. It can support someone to go to work or let a parent get their kids to school. My Guide sees volunteers matched with a person with sight loss and the pair doing an activity or hobby. Our Children's and Young People's service sees us work with children and their families so that they get the practical, financial and emotionalĀ support they need and the access to educational resources and life skills that allow them to reach their full potential and achieve their aspirations. Our Campaigns department tackles issues such as access refusal to businesses and taxis.
