Objectives

We are an independent charity that aims to increase access to the media for underrepresented voices.

We believe a free press is crucial to a functioning democracy; that everyone should be able to have their voice heard and engage with the media they consume; and in order for the media to hold power to account it must be representative of the society it serves.

Our vision is a world where all people can tell their stories, access the truth and hold power to account.

Activities

Our mission is to support independent media under threat, promote diversity in the media and empower children and young people to engage with the news.

In 2020, we worked with over 4,000 children and young people to improve their skills and knowledge around news, and we supported 105 aspiring or professional journalists from a diverse range of backgrounds, building their capacity for success in the industry.
