Growing Green increases urban biodiversity by working primarily with schools to increase wildlife within their school grounds. We recognise that urban greening will be vital in mitigating the effects of climate change and are committed to helping the next generation create positive change in their own spaces. Our projects create places for wildlife to thrive and young people to connect with nature.
We work with schools to create native hedges, mini forests, wildflower meadows, wildlife ponds, orchards and herb gardens, involving pupils, staff, parents and the whole school community. We raise funds directly through our local events and donations, as well as applications to funder organisations.
