The Grove Neighbourhood Centre has been running since 1973 and is a vibrant part of the community it serves. The integration of socially isolated people is a vital part of the work undertaken by the centre. One of the ways in which we do this is by running a weekly lunch club. which brings 16-20 people together to enjoy a nutrious two course meal, company around the table and the benefit of occasional professional speakers. Our "drop-in" service often helps members of the Lunch club with issues such as medical equipment, Council tax and hospital transport needs. As well as our lunch club we also assist members of the public. For areas outside our expertise we would signpost and will always assist a person in making any necessary phone calls and filling out forms. Many of our local residents call in for company and /or tea and sympathy.
