Objectives

The Charity's Objectives:

1) To relieve those persons suffering from any of the full range of psychological and psychiatric disorders, who are in need of treatment.

2) To advance the education and training of persons to qualify them for the conduct and study of group analysis by providing educational courses, extra mural courses and lectures for the study and practical application thereof.

Why does our work matter?

To continue to train people to become qualified group analysts who play a significant role in providing therapeutic support to those suffering from psychological distress in all sectors including the NHS. 

Activities

GASW provides the necessary training to meet the charities objectives. 

GASW's training meets a range of needs.  Anyone with an interest in group analysis can apply to attend GASW's one year Introductory Course.  Trainees who wish to further develop their knowledge can enrol on GASW's Diploma course, or to become a professionally qualified Group Analyst, they can go on to complete GASW's qualifying course.
