Groundwork South is passionate about creating a future where every community is strong and able to shape its own destiny and where everyone can reach their potential.

By bringing people and the environment together with practical local action, we have an impact that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Groundwork has worked in partnership with communities across the South of England for over 30 years, creating effective and lasting solutions to improve people's prospects and to promote greener living and working. 

Activities

Groundwork South office in Thames Valley office is the managing agent for the Colne Valley Community Valley Park and work with the Friends of Colne Valley Park and other partners to maintain and enhance the park. The Park is the first real taste of the countryside immediately west of London covering over 40 square miles, hosting a mosaic of farmland, woodland and water – 200 miles of river and canal, and more than 60 lakes. There are many different environment, education and health and wellbeing projects offered such as: River Rangers, Healing Gardens, Nature based education programmes, traineeships and many more.
