Objectives

GreenSeas Trust is a marine conservation charity stopping plastics entering the seas. The aim of of the charity is to educate, promote and implement environmental programmes to eliminate plastics entering the seas and coastal areas. Our goal is to ensure marine life and fish stocks are sustainable for future generations.

It was established by Fazilette Khan, a Merchant Navy officer, who saw the problem of plastics grow before here very eyes and decided to do something about it.

Activities

Our focus is to stop litter, especially plastics, getting into the sea.  All our projects use a combination of Action > Awareness > Education > Collaboration.

The BinForGreenSeas is one of our core projects. The big, bold and unmissable bin is a recycling bin for plastics. Its strong visual design helps people understand the consequences of thoughtless littering on beaches and waterways and the harmful effect this has on marine life and our own health.
