Greatly Nurtured Development (GND) is a sports development hub that provides a platform to learn a range of diverse skills catered for children, young people and adults in a safe, interactive and relaxed environment through football, fitness, wellbeing and conversation. The services we provide are Soccer School, Football Academy, Football Coaching, Nutrition and Fitness Coaching, Sports Management, Sports Mentoring, Sports Counselling and Events. We carry out our front line services in South East London.
The Government's statistics tell us that the prevalence of obesity has increased in older primary school children from 17.5% in 2006/07 to 20.1% in 2017/18 and obesity is more prevalent in deprived areas. We also know that the prevalence of a mental disorder in children and young people has risen from 9.7% in 1999 to 11.2% in 2017.
We are masters at relationship building and sustaining those relationships with our children and young people. We have great ethics and values, and ensure we embed them. We committed to ensuring we do what we can to tackle obesity and mental health in our local community.
We provide data, key performance indicators and reports for our members. We provide assessments, interventions and outcomes: We assess the players every quarter and monitor their performance by recording data against our football assessment framework. This data is used to monitor their football and mental performance using data intelligence, encourage the player to monitor their own performance and work towards SMART goals, and keep the parents informed by way of a personalised report, which provides them with something tangible and measurable for their child’s progress. The data can also be used to give professional bodies an accurate insight on the person's attributes, qualities and areas of development.
We measure ourselves against our policies: All of our volunteers and staff are qualified, DBS checked and provide quality coaching. We ensure we are meeting our objectives by conducting monthly meetings and measuring ourselves against our organisation's KPIs and 1:1 staff meetings where we monitor staff performance.
