Our mission is to mitigate climate change by making best use of the wood produced by local tree surgeons. We are UK leaders in this area - no other organisation has our holistic approach. We are accredited arborists and carry out tree work, landscaping, and consultancy throughout the Greater Manchester area for a large variety of clients - councils, corporate and domestic. We are a fast growing and ambitious business constituted as a social enterprise - a society for the benefit of the community, owned by our supporters and customers.

We produce firewood, sawn timber and biomass woodchip from the timber we harvest from routine treework operations, and we also take wood from another of other contractors. Our wood fuels represent a 94% to 98% carbon saving compared to the EU fossil fuel average. Our firewood replaces firewood imported from Eastern Europe. Almost all hardwood sawn timber is imported from overseas; ours is from Manchester. Our wood fuels are BSL registered. We have our own kiln for drying firewood and sawn timber, powered by our own woodchip boiler.

We assist local projects and have recently taken on a community engagement officer to lead on the community benefit aspect of our activities.
