For 16 years Grayshott Concerts has presented regular world-class live classical music events in the intimate setting of St Luke’s Grayshott. The charity has developed a unique formula for bringing the best orchestras, soloists, choirs, conductors and composers from across the world to Grayshott for sell-out performances of popular symphonies, concertos and even opera. The aim is simple, yet ambitious: To stage top-quality classical music events, with exceptional performers in an attractive, easy-to-reach, acoustically-perfect venue, so that local people can experience culture without the travel and expense associated with attending major city venues.
Grayshott Concerts presents 5 concerts a year in the generous acoustic of St Luke’s church Grayshott. The majority of the concerts feature Resident orchestra The London Mozart Players. Many of the UK’s leading classical musicians have performed in Grayshott and renowned composer Karl Jenkins has premiered some of his new work there. Recognising its unique position at the heart of the East Hampshire / Surrey community, Grayshott Concerts’ outreach programmes are engaged with local and regional charities, supporting talent development, music education for young people and workshops in care homes for the elderly.
