Objectives

GoodGym exists to make happier, healthier and better connected cities.

Mission: Our mission is to support and encourage adults in every city to combine regular exercise with helping older people and community projects.

Vision: Our vision is that getting fit by doing good will become mainstream.

Our approach is to make it easy for people to combine exercise with helping people & projects in their community through providing safe, exciting and impactful opportunities.

We use technology to reduce the barriers to participation.

We encourage people to combine exercise with helping their community through telling stories and celebrating the outcomes and achievements.

The result is improved wellbeing, increased civic participation and cohesion, and reduced isolation.

Activities

GoodGym connects runners and walkers with community projects and older people. Group sessions go to work on community gardens, schools, playgrounds and parks. Individual runners run to support older people with practical household tasks and to keep them company.
