Objectives

We are a small, dynamic charity and social enterprise tackling social exclusion and long term unemployment in South East London. We work with people experiencing homelessness, poor mental health, disability and refugee/migrant status and provide projects that create opportunity, foster community and promote wellbeing.

Activities

COMMUNITY TRAINING

We run a programme of community-based food and bakery training across South London, open to anyone who is currently out of work. Many of our participants face challenges with mental health, homelessness, caring responsibilities or refugee status. These sessions create spaces for connection and community alongside opportunities to rediscover old talents or learn new ones.

VOCATIONAL TRAINING

The catering and hospitality sector can offer a varied range of employment opportunities, and we aim to help people enter the sector through a programme of vocational training in our production kitchen. Our trainees are led by our professional chef to gain the skills needed for working in a professional kitchen, while supported by a coach who helps them to set and achieve their personal goals.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

Our catering is the engine that drives our training schemes. We are 100% not for profit, and all income is reinvested into our registered charity, allowing us to deliver flexible and innovative support to the people who need it most.
