Objectives

The National Garden Scheme raises funds to support Macmillan Cancer Care, Marie Curie Nurses, Hospice UK and other nursing and caring charities. Nationally, the scheme gives over £3m annually to such charities and makes a real difference, by supporting important projects such as cancer care centres.

Activities

The money is raised through individual garden owners opening their gardens to the general public throughout the year, and providing home-made teas and plant sales. All the garden owners are entirely voluntary. In Gloucestershire, our 78 gardens between them raised £130,000 in 2019.
