Glasgow Wood Recycling (GWR) is a social enterprise and charity registered in Scotland, (No SCO38772), founded in 2006 with the aim of making creative use of waste wood and sustainably sourced timber as a platform for effecting positive environmental and social change. We are based in the Whiteinch area of Glasgow (an area recognised as having high levels of multiple deprivation), where we transform our raw materials into commercially viable products for a wide range of customers, including local businesses, private individuals, housing associations, community groups and schools.
We provide wood waste collection services and reuse the collected timber to make quality garden and indoor furniture. These activities allow us to create a wide variety of volunteering, training and employment opportunities.
