Objectives

The 231st Birmingham Guides are a local affiliate group of Girlguiding. We help all girls know they can do anything.

Guides is a relaxed, welcoming space where girls can have fun, learn and be themselves with good friends from 10 to 14 years old.

A place where we can explore the things we love and do stuff we’ve never done before. Where else can you think up a new sport, make a new perfume, cook over a campfire, design an advertising campaign, have a mocktail party, raise money for a charity you believe in? At Guides, we can do all of this and loads more.

Activities

By volunteering with us, you’ll be helping girls build their confidence, have adventures and learn new skills.

Plus, volunteering for Girlguiding is a great way of meeting new people and taking a break from your daily routine. You can also build your own skills by taking our leadership development qualification, becoming a first aider or qualified outdoor activity instructor. Whatever it is you’re looking for, there’ll be something in it for you.
