Gilgal is an organisation that provides emergency accommodation for victims of domestic abuse and their children. It is a sanctuary that allows women to feel safe. We then work with the women to help rebuild their lives to gain control of their finances, find suitable next step accommodation and provide support and encouragement with their career aspirations (work and/or education)
Gilgal provide 19 bed spaces in two safe locations in Birmingham for female victims of domestic abuse.
Gilgal staff work with individual women to develop bespoke plans to help them (and their children if appropriate) to find new accommodation, support in skills, confidence building, formal education and work opportunities as well as help them find safe accommodation.
Gilgal provides specialist services around addictions and complex needs
Gilgal provides specialist support to children who accompany their mothers.
