We provide high quality, stimulating and holistic residential care for elderly people living with dementia. The support and care we provide to our residents enables their families to go about their everyday lives knowing that their loved ones are safe and well cared for in a homely environment.
A committee of trustees are responsible for the governance and administration of George Brooker House, a 44 room residential home for elderly people, specialising in dementia care. The Home is an independent Society and is a not for profit exempt charity, affiliated to The Abbeyfield Society. Situated in Dagenham with parkland on two sides, the House is serviced by good transport links and is a short walk from Dagenham Heathway District Line station. It has a mixture of private and local authority funded residents and offers outstanding value for money.
The Home is run on a day to day basis by our Registered Manager who has the support of a Care Team leader, finance officer, maintenance officer and administrative support as well as the large team of experienced carers and support staff who look after the varied needs of our residents. Catering is outsourced to a specialist catering organisation.
We also employ an activities coordinator to organise and run a programme of activities to provide an enjoyable and stimulating environment for our residents
