The Geographical Association (the GA) is the leading subject association for all teachers of geography. It is a registered charity and a membership organisation that exists ‘to further geographical knowledge and understanding through education’. It is one of the leading subject teaching organisations. The work of the Association is coordinated by a professional staff team based at its headquarters in Sheffield.
The Geographical Association promotes high-quality geography education in schools by publishing print and digital education titles, member journals and website materials; running professional events, networks, curriculum projects and accreditation schemes; and leading public debate around geography education.
