Friendship House is a leisure centre for the elderly to promote their health and wellbeing, provide social contacts, services and activities that will assist them to remain living independently in their own homes. It enables respite breaks for carers and provides a meeting place for support groups.
The centre is open 5 days a week, provides nourishing lunches and has hairdressing, chiropody and benefit advice services onsite. There are weekly meetings of exercise groups, bowls and bingo clubs and it is a regular meeting place for elderly support groups.
