With the object of improving their conditions of life by maintaining and operating the Penygraig Park Paddling Pool.

Activities

Friends of Penygraig Park / Ffrindiau Parc Penygraig (FPP) was founded in July 2016, with the aim of re-opening and operating the Paddling Pool within Penygraig Park. The pool area was closed in 2013 and has since fallen into a state of disrepair.

Plaid Cymru Assembly Member for the Rhondda, Leanne Wood, whose full support we have enjoyed during the process, instigated the campaign to re-open the pool and provided much of the early publicity.

A working committee was quickly formed and we have successfully registered the organisation as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with the Charity Commission. During this process we have held many meetings with RCT Council and associated bodies and we thank them all for their assistance.

FPP firmly believe that a fully functional Paddling Pool will again become a vibrant focal point for the local community to enjoy as a vital family space.
