Since our foundation in 1934 the Friends of Ipswich Museums (FoIM) have actively supported the work and development of Ipswich Museums. Our museums include the Ipswich Museum, Christchurch Mansion (Tudor) and the Art School Gallery. Our work is carried out in consultation with Ipswich Borough Council and the Museum Management Service (Colchester & Ipswich Museum Service). Our work adds value to the museum service in Ipswich.
We raise funds through membership, outings, gided tours and other events. We assist the museums with the costs of acquisitions, conservation and exhibitions.
