Friends of Hardie Park exist to improve the community of Stanford-le-Hope and surrounding areas by creating a place for the community to gather, play, talk and make a difference. We run various clubs and groups that help local people engage, give meaning to their lives and enable them to socialise in a non-judgmental accessible and welcoming environment.
Hardie Park is a dynamic space in the heart of Stanford-le-Hope Essex. We manage and look after the park, but also offer the following services:
- community cafe
- bike recycling project
- a pop up shop (where we collect surplus food and other items from local supermarkets and provide for members of the local community)
- a petanque rink
- skate park
- a men's shed
- group for gardeners
- a varied events calendar
- provide space for parties, local groups, and offer private room booking
